Do I need to pump out my E/One sewer like I would a septic tank?

No, wastewater is temporarily stored in the basin and then pumped out when the water reaches a certain level. Solids are ground up and removed as well.

My grinder pump alarm light is going off. What do I do?

First, find the silence button to stop the alarm (usually located on the bottom or inside the panel). Next, stop all water use and wait fifteen minutes. If the red alarm light does not go off by then, fill out a service request so we can come check it out!

What is allowed to enter my grinder pump system?

The station works like a normal sewer system. To avoid blockages and damages to the pump, the following items should NOT be placed into any sewer system.

  • Glass/Metal
  • Abrasive materials including gravel, sand, coffee grinds, kitty litter, etc.
  • Seafood shells
  • Socks, rags, or cloths
  • Plastic
  • Sanitary napkins or tampons
  • Disposable diapers
  • Explosives or flammable materials
  • Lubricating oil, grease, and paint
  • Strong chemicals
  • Gasoline or diesel
  • Personal wipes (and other products marked “flushable”)
